The Tri-Central varsity boys basketball team did not have a good weekend. The Trojans suffered a 66-50 Hoosier Heartland Conference setback at Sheridan last Friday. TC then followed with a 58-50 defeat to visiting Wes-Del on Saturday.
The Tipton Lady Devil varsity basketball team dropped back-to-back games against versus Mississinewa and at Madison-Grant last Tuesday and Wednesday.
SHARPSVILLE — Tri-Central took an early 21-0 lead over Elwood in last Wednesday’s varsity wrestling match here. The Panthers, however, came back to pull out a 42-39 victory and mar the Trojans’ senior night just a bit.
INDIANAPOLIS — Tipton parlayed a strong second half into a 51-40 victory over Bethesda Christian here last Saturday night.

Tri-Central’s Lady Trojans had an up and down weekend of basketball.The Lady Trojans opened Hoosier Heartland Conference play with a 46-30 victory at Taylor last Friday night.
Tipton and Tri-Central’s female wrestlers have been competing for two weeks, and the boys started their season last week.Tri-Central hosted a girls and boys wrestling doubleheader last Wednesday with both teams earning victories.The Lady Trojans topped Sheridan 30-24, while the TC boys dominated the Blackhawks 59-24.Tri-Central’s boys then competed in the Northfield Invitational on Saturday.
