Kiwanis dedicate tree for John Hoffbeck

For the past 20 years, John Hoffbeck has been planting trees in Tiptn City Park. Hoffbeck was dedicated to making sure the trees thrived and survived. He would make sure they were watered and cared for daily. The Tipton Kiwanis Club donated trees for the park for the past 10 years and Hoffbeck would plant and nurture them up until his passing in April 2022. Tipton Kiwanis Mike Harper picked up the shovel and carried on Hoffbeck’s tradition last year when he planted a tree in Hoffbeck’s honor. Several members of the club attended a plaque dedication service for Hoffbeck. Several of the members took turns watering the White Oak tree. It will grow tall and strong and will represent Hoffbeck very proudly. Attending the ceremony were: (front row, from left) Beth Lightfoot, Jan List, Mike Harper, Paulette Hoover and Lana Cardwell. In back are Nancy Nicholson, Tom List, Dean Weismiller, Tim Hoover and Steve Peters.
