Patrick A. Horne, 27, Indianapolis, was apprehended on April 18 at 12:30 p.m.

The Tipton FFA chapter had a successful District V Convention on Friday, April 14. The Convention was hosted at Carroll High School in Flora, Ind. During this event, students were able to compete in a variety of contests, meet other FFA members from the district and participate in official FFA ceremonies. Tipton FFA members spent countless hours perfecting their individual contest areas starting in January 2023.

Members of the Tipton Community School Board recognized several elementary students that had received 100 percent on the iREAD Program at their recent meeting. The Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination (IREAD) is a grade three reading assessment developed in accordance with state legislation.

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fullled the law. It is with my deepest sympathy and sorrow that I share with you the loss of our Golf Course Department employee Greg Wagoner. On Monday, April 10, a tragic accident occurred on the course and Greg was Life-Lined to an Indianapolis hospital for medical treatment.
Several residents attended the unveiling of the city’s Traffic Study, produced by the contractor, HWC. The company was assessing whether or not four stop lights in downtown Tipton were needed or if they could be replaced by stop signs.
