Cynthia C. “Cindy” Kellermeyer

ELWOOD – Cynthia C. “Cindy” Kellermeyer, age 57, and a lifelong resident of Elwood, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel following a sudden illness at home.

She was born Dec. 25, 1965, in Elwood, the daughter of James D. and Joyce A. (Harting) Holliday.

Cindy was a 1984 graduate of Elwood Community High School.

Most recently she was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She married Richard L. Kellermeyer on Dec. 21, 2002, and they shared more than 21 years of marriage together.

Cindy formerly owned and operated several businesses in Elwood including a bridal shop, a craft store and a popular online jewelry business.

Cindy and Rick enjoyed camping and spending time at Hidden Lake, just north of Elwood, for many years. She especially enjoyed fishing, crafting and caring for her home.

Cindy was known for helping others in need and was very generous throughout her life. Nothing made her happier than spending time with all her family – especially her grandchildren.

Cindy was exceptionally good at playing digital solitaire reaching 11,000 levels.

She will be remembered as a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Cindy’s family includes her mother, Joyce (Harting) Sheets of Elwood; husband, Rick Kellermeyer of Elwood; three children, Ryan (Cristin) McCorkle of Muncie, Emilee Kellermeyer of Elwood and Nicolas Kellermeyer of Elwood; brother, Raymond (Stephanie) Holliday of Texas; three step-siblings, Monty Sheets of Elwood, Tia Sheets of Peru and Robert Sheets of Pendleton; two grandchildren, Ian McCorkle and Liam McCorkle; and several nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father; son, Kyle McCorkle just days after birth; step-father, Walter Sheets; and step-brother, Chris Sheets.

Cindy’s wishes were to be cremated with no formal services.

Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home has been entrusted with Cindy’s cremation arrangements.

In honor of Cindy’s love of helping others, memorial contributions are suggested to the Morrisett Center Food Pantry.
