Relentless rainfall results in flooding, evacuations
No one expected the rains that started last week to result in such a devastating flooding event. According to the National Weather Service, the city received 9.61 inches of rain from Aug. 11 to Aug. 17, resulting in localized flash flooding and high water along Cicero Creek.
