Linda C. Stephens, age 75, of Tipton, IN passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 4, 2023.  

Linda was born in Jackson County, Arkansas on July 2, 1948, to the late Oscar and Irene (Walker) Prestwood.  On Nov. 4, 1977, she married Kim Stephens, and they shared 46 years of marriage together.

Following an extensive career in health care, Linda retired from Parkview Nursing Home.  Linda was passionate about her faith and was a member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Elwood where she was active in events and services.  Music was a passion and Linda was fortunate enough to be able to pass her love for music down to her children and grandchildren.  Linda’s true fulfillment came when she was able to be surrounded by her family and grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Kim Stephens of Tipton, IN; four sons, Steve (Loranne) Dwiggins of Lapel, IN, Mark (Shannon) Dwiggins of Galveston, IN, Matt Dwiggins of Galveston, IN, Craig Stephens of Tipton, IN, two daughters, Kristy Stephens of Elwood, IN and Kimberly (Rick) Seals of Tipton, IN, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents Linda was preceded in death by her three brothers, Robert, Jerry and Tom Prestwood.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, 400 No. A St., Elwood, IN.

The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church with Rev. Kim Singleton officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Elwood.
