Dairy Queen receives new flag

Early this year, the American Flag at the Tipton Dairy Queen was ripped, along with the lanyard. The American Veteran Riders Association offered to replace the shredded American flag and the destroyed rope lanyard kit. AVR sent out a request for anyone with a bucket-lift and was immediately contacted by Mark Boyer of Kempton. This past weekend, Army Veteran Bob Naden of Windfall and an AVR cadet along with Boyer replaced the flag and it’s once again flying. Tipton’s American Legion will host a Veterans Day event, followed by a dinner at 11 a.m. Monday at the Legion.
