Tipton County Extension Homemakers met recently for their Council Christmas Party. Twelve members enjoyed a carry-in meal, gift exchange and craft time where they made cute snowmen out of socks filled with rice. A big part of the evening was spent working on the Indiana Extension Homemakers State President’s project for this year, putting together 100 simple care kits that can be given out to the homeless or persons in quick need of a few supplies. These were given locally to the Tipton Co. Family Resource Center and Rock Prairie Church to distribute as needed. The members also brought in several buckets filled with cleaning supplies which were given to the Family Resource Center to be distributed to those in need.
