Dear Rusty: I am thoroughly confused. What do I need to do to continue receiving automatic Social Security deposits to my bank account, and maintain our Medicare and Supplement health insurance? My wife has received her SS deposit regularly on the 3rd Wednesday each month with automatic bank deposit for many years. I have received my SS deposit regularly the 4th Wednesday each month with automatic bank deposit also for many years. Can you please tell me what to do to continue receiving these automatic deposits?

Rob Cochrane, Tipton Community School Corporation Board Chair, began the second part of the called school board meeting with the statement, “Tipton Community School Corporation has demonstrated leadership and strong support for a collaborative project with the City of Tipton.” This involved a lease between TCSC and the City of Tipton for vacant school land to be used for Little League and Girls’ Softball plus the use of the school’s parking lot, rest rooms, concession stands in order for the Little League and Girls’ Softball to save money and not to have to invest in these amenities. Also to be offered were the school’s baseball and softball fields when they were not being used for school practices and competitions.

We’ve all seen them. Starting a bit after Thanksgiving, you walk into Needler’s Fresh Market in Tipton and standing next to a donation bucket and ringing a bell are volunteers for the Salvation Army of Tipton County. Twice today, rainy day that it is, I have been greeted with “Nasty day, isn’t it?” To which I responded the first time as I flung my arms wide as though to receive the rain with joy, to accept it for the blessing that it is, “It’s a wonderful day, and I am thankful to have lived long enough to see it!” The interrogator smiled and said, “Have a great day!” That’s the spirit.

There are signs that spring is here everywhere. Trees that bloom are blooming. There are a lot of green leaves starting to show on other trees. Dandelions have made their appearance once again. Tulips and daffodils have made their comeback.
I am sitting here after one o’clock in the morning thinking of an incident that took place when my father was 85 years of age. I took him out to Doctor Fearnow’s small orchard to introduce him to the old gentleman. We stood in the driveway next to the stand where the man sold his produce. The two men exchanged some experiences, found that they had some things in common. Dad was a minister, the doctor had been a missionary to Haiti in his younger day, he said.
