Dear Rusty: I am going to be 67 in a few weeks & I plan on working for another year or two. According to Social Security, they count the best 35 years to come up with your benefit. I currently have 30 years, with 2024 and 2025 taxes yet to be filed. If I take my benefit now, will I get an upward adjustment after filing my taxes for those years, or do I need to wait to apply for SS until after filing my taxes to get credit for those years? National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is observed annually during the second week of April. In 2025, it will be celebrated from April 13 to April 19. This week is a time to recognize and appreciate the vital work of public safety telecommunicators, who serve as the crucial link between the community and emergency responders. The Tipton Police Department has completed a lengthy drug investigation that led to the arrest of three individuals, including a local man identified as 32-year-old Vincent A. McKinney, for the illegal sale of methamphetamine within the City of Tipton.
• Justin Michael Lacy, 41, Tipton, was apprehended by the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office on April 10 for a failure to appear warrant.

The Tipton County Farmers & Artisans Market (TCFAM) is hosting their Earth Day Celebration Market on Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Tipton County 4-H Fairgrounds big building, located at 1200 S. Main St. in Tipton.
