Last week, long-term newspaper employee, Cindy Tyner, announced she would be leaving Cherry Road Media, formerly Elwood Publishing Company, to pursue an opportunity with the Elwood Chamber of Commerce.Tyner began her career with the newspaper in August of 1976 in the Tipton office as the front desk receptionist performing multiple duties including circulation, classified ads, legals and more.

Tipton County Chamber Foundation Awarded Grantfrom Efroymson Family FundThe grant will support a National Register of Historic Placesnomination for the Tipton Courthouse Square Historic DistrictTIPTON (December 27, 2023) — The Tipton County Chamber of Commerce and Tipton County Chamber Foundation were awarded a grant to support a National Register of Historic Places nomination for the Tipton Courthouse Square, which will formally acknowledge this area as a historic district.“Work on this effort began several years ago when Indiana Landmarks first approached our community with the idea to seek a formal nomination to the National Register of Historic Places,” stated Kegan Schmicker, Tipton County Chamber CEO.
