WARSAW — Tipton’s Evan Long repeated as the 1,600-meter regional champion last Thursday to earn a second consecutive trip to the boys state track and field meet. Long’s path to this Friday’s state meet is similar to last year’s as he dominated the sectional and then found himself in a battle to the finish at the regional.

ANDERSON — Daleville’s aggressive approach on the base paths led to a calamity of Tri-Central errors and a 12-2 Broncos’ six-inning victory over the Trojans in Monday afternoon’s second semifinal game.

NOBLESVILLE — The Tipton High School boys golf team tuned up for next Monday’s Noblesville Sectional with a 319328 victory over Noblesville last Thursday. The match was played at Harbour Trees G.C.
