Memorial Day Celebration

The annual Memorial Day Celebration took place on Monday, May 29, at Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery. American Legion Commander Stan Jones greeted the crowd that had gathered. Chaplin Frank Pore led the group in prayer.

Graduating from high school is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. It marks both the end of a student’s secondary journey and the beginning of their next chapter. Some of our graduates will attend post-secondary institutions, while others have obtained the necessary certifications to go directly into the workforce or began a career in the military. Regardless of the pathway chosen, I believe they are poised for success.

Blue Devils come up short at sectional

KOKOMO — Solid pitching and error-free defense were not enough for Tipton in Wednesday night’s opening game of the Class 2A Eastern Sectional. The Blue Devils’ inability to get timely hits saw them come up short against Taylor, 3-2.

ProPEL US 31 South to host public information meetings in June

The ProPEL US 31 South study team is hosting a public information meeting as it continues the Planning and Environment Linkages (PEL) study along the US 30 and US 31 corridors in northern Indiana. The purpose of the meeting is to report on insights gained from the public thus far, share additional data gathered by the study team and provide an overview of the issues and desired outcomes.

Boone County declared as Primary Natural Disaster Areas

Clinton, Hamilton, Hendricks, Marion and Montgomery counties declared contiguous Natural Disaster Areas This Administrator’s Physical Loss Notification allows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans. Emergency loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation or the refinance of certain debts.
