Panthers defeat Lady Trojans 7-1

ELWOOD --- Neither Tri-Central nor Elwood handled the ball cleanly in the field of play, combining for nine errors in Monday’s varsity softball game here. The difference was the Panthers came up with some big and timely hits to spur them on to a 7-1 victory over the Trojans.

Tipton boys place second at own invitational

Altherr, Long earn double blues; Lady Devils’ Ankrum wins high jump Cooper Altherr and Evan Long won two events each to propel the Tipton High School boys varsity track and field team to a second-place finish in its own invitational on Friday night. Sydney Duncan swept the throwing events to lead Frankton’s Lady Eagles to the runner-up finish at the same Tipton Invitational.

The Circus is coming to Sheridan

Yes, that’s right - the circus is coming to Sheridan! The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus will be at Biddle Park for two performances on the evening of Tuesday, May 30. The first performance will be at 5 p.m.
