The Tipton FFA chapter had a successful District V Convention on Friday, April 14. The Convention was hosted at Carroll High School in Flora, Ind. During this event, students were able to compete in a variety of contests, meet other FFA members from the district and participate in official FFA ceremonies. Tipton FFA members spent countless hours perfecting their individual contest areas starting in January 2023.

Joash the Abiezrite had a son whom he named Gideon, “Destroyer,” or He Who Bruises and Breaks. I think of him as The Hammer. The Midianites were a scourge to the people, destroying their crops and their means of livelihood. The Lord revealed to Gideon that the people had strayed from His ways and their worship of Baal was the reason for their suffering. Gideon tore down his father’s altar to Baal, cut down the grove, built an altar to Yahweh and sacrificed thereon.
The weekend of April 14-15 was a busy one for the Tipton High School boys and girls track and field teams. The Blue Devils traveled to Eastbrook to compete in a six-team invitational on the 14th and then got up the next day and participated in the Big Orange meet at Hamilton Heights.
The Tipton High School boys and girls track team competed in the Wapahani Relays on Saturday, April 8. The Blue Devil boys placed fourth, while the THS girls placed eighth in the nine-team events.
Tri-Central varsity baseball team got off to a tough start in the Hoosier Heartland Conference, losing back-to-back games to Carroll and Delphi on Tuesday and Wednesday. Carroll shut out the visiting Trojans,10-0, in six innings on Tuesday.

SHARPSVILLE --- Tri-Central’s high school boys track and field team pulled out a 61-58 victory over North Miami last Wednesday. Ethan Gibson took home four blue ribbons and Augie Mueller three to lead the Trojans.
Lewis Cass High School announced it would be leaving the Hoosier Conference at the end of 2022-23 to join the Three Rivers Conference according to a press release from the Hoosier Conference on Tuesday.
