The American Legion Post 53 has partnered with the First Presbyterian Church in Elwood to host an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 9 in the church yard. The egg hunt will include more than 1,000 eggs with goodies inside, prize Easter baskets, bicycles, and more.

According to Indiana.gov, approximately 314 cases of Lyme Disease were reported in Indiana in 2021. More than 1,300 cases occured between 2012 and 2020. While the disease is most common in the spring and summer months when ticks are active, Lyme disease can occur during any time of the year. Though cases can occur in any county across Indiana, cases are more common in Northwestern Indiana.
