Tipton Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 block of Green Street in the City of Tipton at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, along with automatic aid from Cicero Township Volunteer Fire Department, for a report of a structure fire. Engine 10 and Medic 81 arrived on the scene approximately four minutes after the initial 911 call to find flames showing from the south side of the structure.
• James L. Taylor, 36, Frankfort, was arrested June 19 at 5:30 p.m. by TCSD for Auto Theft and Operator Never Licensed. He was taken to Tipton County Jail and later released on the pretrial release program.

The Tipton/Hamilton County Farm Service Agency Committee (COC) Election is now through Aug. 1, 2023. This is the period for nominating farmers as candidates for the local COC election. This year the LAA (Local Administrative Area) is having the election in Tipton County is LAA 2, which includes Cicero and Liberty Townships and Hamilton County is LAA 4, which includes Adams, Clay, Jackson, and Washington Townships.
