CARMEL — Gavin Hare’s high school golf career did not end the way he had hoped.

CARMEL — Gavin Hare’s first round at the 87th annual IHSAA Boys Golf State Finals contained its share of highs and lows and included some bad luck.But when Tuesday’s round was over, the Tipton High School senior had posted a score of 4-over 76 on the Prairie View G.C.

YORKTOWN — When Tipton’s Gavin Hare left The Players Club last Thursday, he thought his high school career was over.

Jane Schott, an assistant athletic director and the girls basketball coach at West Lafayette Junior Senior High School, has been approved by the IHSAA Executive Committee to become an assistant commissioner.Schott will begin her role July 1 and she will administer the sports of girls soccer, boys soccer, girls basketball, girls track & field, and boys track & field.Schott was one of several finalists interviewed for the position and fills the vacancy left by Janie Ulmer who is leaving to become assistant principal at Fishers High School.
