Tipton Mayor Tom Dolezal experienced a heart attack on Christmas morning and underwent successful surgery.
Plan Commission favors AUD ordinance
The City of Tipton Plan Commission, following a public hearing on a proposed ordinance for AUDs (Accessory Dwelling Units), voted a favorable recommendation be sent to the Tipton City Council which will need to take action on it within 90 days.Voting in favor of the AUD ordinance were Jade Crawford, Mike Bollman, Jackie Cardin, Michelle Owen, Cory Mahen, Lindsey Ogden, Emily Nasser, Blake Edwards and Abby Ripberger.Michael Spurlock was the sole “unfavorable vote”; he stated his reason for this decision was that he felt the ordinance was incomplete, that it needed more specifics spelled out.The standard answer to something not being included in an ordinance is ‘The ordinance can always be amended.’ Spurlock would rather it be complete upon approval.Dr.
