TCSC celebrates its school nurses

During Nurse Appreciation Week, the Tipton Community School Corporation takes a special moment to recognize its amazing school nurses who work tirelessly to care for the students and staff. They feel fortunate to have a skilled and talented team of two full-time and three part-time school nurses who support the health and well-being of the students. They include our full-time corporation nurse, Susie “Nurse Susie” Ragan Walsh and Debbie Emberton, the full-time elementary school nurse. Invaluable substitute nurses include Judy Day, Cindy Gilliam and Abbie Meyncke. They fill in where and when needed.

TCSC board members discussed many items at last meeting

During a recent Tipton Community School Corporation Board meeting, Dr. Ryan Glaze presented the report by Policy Analytics, LLC. The corporation has engaged Policy Analytics to develop a long-term forecast of property tax revenues. The purpose of the analysis is to estimate changes in assessed value, circuit breaker losses and resulting net property tax proceeds from the period of 2025 to 2035, and to evaluate the fiscal impacts of debt service policy decisions.

Tipton’s hidden gem . . .

Nestled on the top floor of West Street Christian Church, 132 N. West Street, are several rooms used for free tutoring for all grade levels. For Karen Dunham, a retired Tipton Community School Corporation elementary teacher, this program is her dream come true. When she retired, she knew she still had much to share with the children in the community.

Tri-Central Community Schools names new Superintendent and football coach

SHARPSVILLE - Tri-Central Community Schools Board of Education proudly announced the appointment of Andrew Larson as superintendent, effective July 1, 2025. He will succeed Dave Driggs, an outstanding, longtime educator and administrator who has served the district for 43 years. This announcement took place at their most recent school board meeting.
