A dream come true

Nine-year-old Molly Sampson of Calvert County, MD dreams of becoming a paleontologist when she grows up; she wants to study the history of life on Earth, reports the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC]. Meantime, she likes to search the local beaches for sharks’ teeth and recently came across a rather large tooth that belonged to the biggest shark that ever lived -- a giant 15 million-year-old shark known as a Megalodon. She took it to the Calvert Marine Museum on Solomon’s Island where the paleontology department confirmed her find.

Douglas Hegdahl was born in September of 1946 in a small town in South Dakota. When he was asked to join the Navy in the 1960s he saw it as an opportunity to see the world. Hegdahl was assigned to the USS Canberra, a missile cruiser positioned in the Gulf of Tonkin, three miles off the coast of Vietnam.

Mattingly is a 1939 Tipton High School graduate, WWII veteran serving with the United States Navy, husband, father, and successful businessman who built a vast farming operation during his lifetime.

Theatres provide indoor fun

The Alex Theatre opened on July 28, 1950 with 550 seats, all on a single level. It is a plain red-brick Colonial style building with a plain marquee and red neon ‘Alex’ sign on the façade. It has always been an independently operated movie theatre. It closed in the 1980’s and was reopened in 1988.

It is devoutly to be hoped that you express your love for your significant other every day, not by words alone, but by working at demonstrating that she or he is the most important thing in your life by doing those things that make her or him happy. Yet the injection of a bit of romance into the relationship is essential. That should be done daily, too, if only by some simple gesture such as well, whatever simple gesture conveys joy. But Valentine's Day is set aside specifically to honor the loved one with romance. Commercialized? Yes, of course. The florists, the chocolatiers, the jewelers, have all jumped on the bandwagon to offer you means of (expensive) expression of your love for your Other. This all begins with a sort of strange feeling and awkward response to it which typically arises in the early adolescent years. Witness.
