BOC learns of focus on mental and physical health

Tipton County Commissioners signed a memorandum of understanding with 4C Health to provide the opportunity for mental health discussions following disturbing occurrences like horrific accidents, deaths, fires, that law enforcement (city, county, town marshals), first responders; dispatchers, jail staff, and all county fire departments (paid and volunteer) have witnessed. The discussions will occur at the 4C Health office in the Medical Arts Building just south of Indiana University Tipton Hospital.

Free Summer Food Bag Program begins Tipton County

Something positive happens when several service agencies get together to solve a problem: How do some children eat when school is out for the summer? During school time, these children may receive free/reduced breakfast and lunch. Elementary children in the Tipton Community School Corporation can receive Bags of Blessing, a weekly bag of food for the weekend provided by West Street Christian Church and Trinity Wesleyan Church. At Tri-Central, buddy bags have been available to students.

4C Health services growing

Mental Health Awareness month is routinely emphasized in May. To that end, the CEO of 4C Health, Dr. Carrie Cadwell, Ps/y ISSP, spoke to the Tipton County Board of Commissioners on May 18. She outlined the “exciting expansion” of 4C Health as it seeks to serve several rural counties, of which Tipton County is one.
