BOC hears updates on various projects

Work is wrapping up on the new handicapped-accessible sidewalk on the east side of the courthouse in preparation for the east door becoming the main courthouse entryway. Courthouse law enforcement officer Kevin Stiner stated that October 14 will be training day for designated personnel on how to use the security scanner located just inside the east doors.

Tipton approved to join Central Indiana Regional Development Authority (CIRDA), strengthening regional collaboration and strategic growth

The City of Tipton announced Tuesday its membership in the Central Indiana Regional Development Authority (CIRDA) has officially been approved, making Tipton the 31st community in Central Indiana to join the regional alliance. Membership aligns Tipton with neighboring cities to pursue coordinated, region-wide efforts that support economic growth, infrastructure investment and quality of place.
