1983 • The four Tipton County ambulance services were given an opportunity to make requests to the Tipton County Commissioners for money for their services in 1984. The ambulance services included Porter, Young-Nichols and Leatherman- Morris funeral homes and the Sharpsville Community Ambulance Service, a volunteer unit.

The Tipton County Pork Festival was well represented in two festivals neighboring the county. Pork Festival royalty appeared in the Hayne’s Apperson Festival parade in Kokomo over the weekend. INDIANAPOLIS – A longstanding Indiana law changed 0n July 1 in an effort to expand family dining space in Hoosier restaurants. The law previously prohibited minors under 18 years of age from dining in the bar area of a restaurant. But on Saturday families will be able to dine with their minor children under age 18 in a bar area – but for the sole purpose of consuming food.
Abby Ripberger of Tipton has entered the race to be the City of Tipton’s Mayor. “I can confirm that I submitted a petition with 57 signatures to run for Mayor of Tipton as an Independent,” Ripberger said on Friday.
