Pork Festival represented this past weekend

The Tipton County Pork Festival was well represented in two festivals neighboring the county. Pork Festival royalty appeared in the Hayne’s Apperson Festival parade in Kokomo over the weekend. Queen Halle Cole, Jr. Queen Matison Spencer and Princess Eleanor Newcom represented the festival as they took part in the parade. Also this past weekend, the girls had a fun evening watching the first annual Miss Lights Over Morse Lake Queen pageant. Festival Queen Halle Cole, Jr. Queen 1st runner-up Audrey were at the pageant and so was 2022 Miss Tipton County Gracie Cloud!

Change in Law Allowing Minors in Restaurant Bar Areas Still Carries Restrictions

INDIANAPOLIS – A longstanding Indiana law changed 0n July 1 in an effort to expand family dining space in Hoosier restaurants. The law previously prohibited minors under 18 years of age from dining in the bar area of a restaurant. But on Saturday families will be able to dine with their minor children under age 18 in a bar area – but for the sole purpose of consuming food.
