Change in Law Allowing Minors in Restaurant Bar Areas Still Carries Restrictions

INDIANAPOLIS – A longstanding Indiana law changed 0n July 1 in an effort to expand family dining space in Hoosier restaurants. The law previously prohibited minors under 18 years of age from dining in the bar area of a restaurant. But on Saturday families will be able to dine with their minor children under age 18 in a bar area – but for the sole purpose of consuming food.

Several storms have past through Tipton County the past few days, the strongest was called a Derecho. A Derecho is a line of intense, widespread, and fast-moving windstorms and sometimes thunderstorms that moves across a great distance and is characterized by damaging winds. This storm traveled approximately 600 miles. Erica Conaway Stillson knows about that storm all too well as it took a big portion of one of her trees down.
