Allison Powell, daughter of Kyle and Charlene Powell’ was chosen by the Tipton American Legion Auxiliary Unit #46 to attend the 80th annual session of the American Legion Auxiliary, Hoosier Girls State.
INDIANAPOLIS – A longstanding Indiana law changed 0n July 1 in an effort to expand family dining space in Hoosier restaurants. The law previously prohibited minors under 18 years of age from dining in the bar area of a restaurant. But on Saturday families will be able to dine with their minor children under age 18 in a bar area – but for the sole purpose of consuming food.
Abby Ripberger of Tipton has entered the race to be the City of Tipton’s Mayor. “I can confirm that I submitted a petition with 57 signatures to run for Mayor of Tipton as an Independent,” Ripberger said on Friday.
Several storms have past through Tipton County the past few days, the strongest was called a Derecho. A Derecho is a line of intense, widespread, and fast-moving windstorms and sometimes thunderstorms that moves across a great distance and is characterized by damaging winds. This storm traveled approximately 600 miles. Erica Conaway Stillson knows about that storm all too well as it took a big portion of one of her trees down.
