Tipton Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 block of Green Street in the City of Tipton at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, along with automatic aid from Cicero Township Volunteer Fire Department, for a report of a structure fire. Engine 10 and Medic 81 arrived on the scene approximately four minutes after the initial 911 call to find flames showing from the south side of the structure.

The Tipton High School boys golf team placed second at last Thursday’s Muncie Central Regional played at The Players Club and earned a trip to the state meet on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hamilton Southeastern won the regional with a 289. The Blue Devils edged Noblesville 303-306 for second place. The top three teams advanced to the state meet at Prairie View G.C. in Carmel. Team members include (from left): Preston Lancaster, Nolan Swan, Maverick Conaway, Calvin Condict and Gavin Hare. Conaway and Hare also earned second- and third-place medalist honors. The Wheel-Dawgz Motorcycle Group will have a benefit ride for Aaron Everhart on Saturday. Sign-ups will be at 11 a.m. at Suburban Lanes, 4285 St. Rd. 19 South in Tipton. Kickstands up at noon. Aaron was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer six months ago. Come join the fun and join them for a good ride and end the day with some bowling, burgers and hot dogs, all while supporting a good cause. There will also be raffles and silent auctions. The after-ride party will begin at approximately 3:30 p.m. The after-ride activities will be open to anyone who wants to join the fun. You do not have to ride a motorcycle to come eat, bowl or join in the raffles or auctions. The Wheel-Dawgz are always around when there’s a need. This photo was taken when a Kokomo man that mowed yards for a living had his bike, which was his only transportation, and all his mowing gear stolen. Wheel-Dawgz had him back out mowing in no time.
