• Kylee D. Williams, 29, Elwood, was arrested Thursday, March 2, at j11:41 p.m. by Tipton County officers for Criminal Conversion, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Narcotic Drug and Legend Drug Deception. She was taken to Tipton County Jail and later released on the pretrial release program.

Recent power outages caused by squirrels

Tipton Common Council member Rick Chandler gave an update to Tipton Common Council from the Tipton Municipal Utility Board meeting. There have been several power outages in the past couple of weeks and three of those were attributed to squirrels shorting out a power line. The linemen quickly worked to get the power restored after they found out about the issue.

Tipton High School to host drum corp

Tipton City Board of Works members Tom Dolezal, Rick Rippy and Nathan Kring listened to a proposal by Matt Skiba, Tipton High School Band Director at their latest meeting. Skiba informed the board that the high school would be hosting a drum corps group of approximately 200 members for three to four weeks. The band members will be practicing for approximately 12 hours a day, seven days a week.
