Education Matters: TCSC School Counselors National School Counseling Week took place last week (February 6 – 10). This seemed the ideal time to share the role and impact of our school/guidance counselors at TCSC.

Tipton City Plan Commission members Emily Nasser, Cory Mahan, Lindsey Ogden, Michelle Owens, Jim Purvis, Michael Spurlock and, Mike Bollman elected a new board president at a recent meeting Cory Mahan is president. Board member Jackie Cardin was not present at the meeting and the board has two open spots. Ogden will be vice president and Judy Coker will again be the secretary. County Liaison will be Owens. The Plan Development Review Committee will be Cardin.

Solid Waste Management (SWM) board was reorganized recently with Tom Dolezal remaining as board president. New member, Joe VanBibber, (Council member appointment) was named vice president and fiscal officer. Dolezal will be the backup for signing checks. Board members were asked to go online and watch a video for Internal Controls Training.
FAMILY STORYTIME Tipton County Library Children's Department Program Room has family storytime on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. this will take place through March 1.
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) has begun accepting tax filings for the 2022 individual income tax season. Customers will have until April 16, to file their tax returns and pay any taxes owed.
