Ascension St. Vincent offers new Senior Renewal services in Elwood

Senior adults often face unique emotional problems that can make life abnormally difficult, including feelings of anxiety and depression, difficulty coping with change and trouble adjusting to retirement. For those living in small rural communities across the state, those issues can be amplified due to a variety of factors such as transportation issues and lack of resources.

Tipton Trails update

Tipton Trails had their monthly meeting to discuss the current projects the group is looking to check into. Chair Committeeman Steve Raber gave an update on the Kirkendall property which is located near the Howard/Tipton County line on the west side of U.S. 931. Raber noted that Tipton County Surveyor Jason Henderson and contractor Mike Terry are working together to lay out the first stage of the trail system there.

Mayor provides update on several projects

The Tipton City Council met Monday for a regular meeting. Following the pledge of allegiance, it was announced that as of July 1, all public meetings will be broadcast and streamed on the city’s YouTube page. That page can be accessed by viewing this link: youtube.com/@CityofTiptonIndiana. It was disclosed that back end user error caused an issue with the recent Park Board stream, but those issues are being addressed.

Tipton FFA members earn high honors at State FFA Convention

Tipton FFA members participated in the 96th Indiana FFA State Convention on June 16-19, 2025, at Southmont Jr/Sr High School and Purdue University.  Members in attendance were able to hear retiring addresses from the 2024-2025 Indiana FFA State Officers, keynote speakers, participate in leadership development workshops, and networked with members from across the state.
