TCSC Board President Robert Cochrane II honored with ISBA award

KOKOMO — Guests to the heart of Kokomo will notice new artwork being displayed in downtown alleys. This is part of the Greater Kokomo Downtown Association’s public art initiative that fills these spaces with creativity.
Commissioners hear old jail proposal
Tipton County Foundation Director Mark Baird proposed to the Tipton County Commissioners - a housing project for the old jail. He stated the Foundation knows the need for housing and knows the value of preserving historic buildings. Baird stressed, “The Foundation doesn’t have to own the property; we have no burning desire to be the ‘forever’ owners.”
Proposed scrapyard in Kempton defeated
A controversial proposed scrapyard on North Elm Street in Kempton was defeated Tuesday evening at the Tipton County Board of Zoning Appeals.
