The City of Tipton has been awarded a $10,000 Creative Convergence Action Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission to support its Teaching Artist in Residence program. The initiative, organized by the recently established Tipton Public Arts Commission (TPAC), will bring a professional artist to engage with the community through workshops, presentations and creative activities.
Tipton resident David Brown purchased a house on a small piece of land on North Main Street in 2023. At the time, the septic system was a functioning system. Two years have passed; now Brown states his system is near the failure point.
Phil’s One Stop is the full-flight sponsor for this notable event. They have raised over $500,000 on behalf of Honor Flight and this will be their 4th full flight sponsorship. Owners Phil and Renee Carper share, “We’re blessed to honor those who have served and sacrificed for the freedoms we all enjoy today. Phil’s One Stop sincerely thanks our customers, employees, and vendors for their involvement in supporting HFNEI Flight #50. Fifty flights transporting veterans to Washington D.C. is a remarkable achievement by HFNEI, showcasing the commitment and dedication of their board and volunteers.”
INDIANAPOLIS - Keystone Cooperative continues its strong commitment to youth agriculture education and leadership by donating $40,000 to the Indiana FFA Foundation in 2025. This commitment reflects the value Keystone and its employees and farmer-members place on the FFA organization and the many benefits it offers its members.
The manager of the Tipton County Health Department shared information that Tipton County has the second-highest suicide rate in Indiana. When Tipton County Jail Commander Ray Sheppard heard this statistic, he decided to do something about it.

Tipton FFA members demonstrated their skills and dedication on Feb. 27, 2025, as they competed against other schools in the area during the Leadership Development Events (LDE) contests. These competitions provide students with opportunities to develop premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through FFA.
