Dear Eric: My husband sings at the top of his lungs to any song that is playing in a movie or a commercial or in the car or otherwise. It’s like nails on a chalkboard for me. I’ve tried telling him, but he takes offense. He tells me everyone tells him he has perfect pitch (he doesn’t), and it has come down to serious discord at times.

Hope Family Center seeks BOC partnership

Seeking a partnership with Tipton County, two representatives of the HOPE Family Center on N. Peru Street in Cicero, Brian Peters and Mike Jenkins, presented information to members of the Tipton County Board of Commissioners this past Monday. Peters is the CEO of the Hope Family Center, and Jenkins, the founder of this health care service, and is now the chair of the board.

Tipton senior represents Indiana through music and culture

This summer, Cayden Osbon, a senior at Tipton High School, embarked on a transformative journey across Europe as part of the prestigious Indiana Ambassadors of Music Program. Selected for his musical talent and character, Osbon joined fellow band and choir students from across the state to perform in five countries, forging connections through music and cultural exchange.

People Speak: My Closet

As I think back on the summer, I can think of two words to describe it - fast and hot! It seems like we just got out of school, and we are ready to start again. It also felt like it was so hot this summer, forcing us to stay inside where we could hopefully be a little cooler. Although I bring up how fast the summer has gone by, I realize how anxious I am to see the kids come to “shop” for a back-to-school outfit. Getting a new outfit was one of my favorite parts of returning to school as a child, and I still experience that excitement through the kids we serve through “My Closet” every day.
