As I think back on the summer, I can think of two words to describe it - fast and hot! It seems like we just got out of school, and we are ready to start again. It also felt like it was so hot this summer, forcing us to stay inside where we could hopefully be a little cooler. Although I bring up how fast the summer has gone by, I realize how anxious I am to see the kids come to “shop” for a back-to-school outfit. Getting a new outfit was one of my favorite parts of returning to school as a child, and I still experience that excitement through the kids we serve through “My Closet” every day.
I have been told by a reliable source that the $4,000,000 (that’s 4 MILLION dollars) that the City received for the exchange between the City and State for Highway purposes is sitting in an account earning little or no interest.
