Although Santa does not officially arrive in Tipton until Friday night during “Tis the Season, he found himself quite busy helping others over the past few days. Santa started his busy week with his annual Santa Bar Crawl. He went to the Tipton American Legion, The Shack, Mad Tap, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Junction, Railroad Crossing and the Windfall Tavern collecting money for the county’s food pantries. During this run, Santa received more than $3,000 in donations. Santa then went to say “Hello” at the Thanksgiving Community Dinner. Later in the week, he found himself down in Atlanta for their Tree Lighting Ceremony and was given approximately $500 for the Atlanta food pantry. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be featured in a parade on Friday evening, beginning at 5:15 p.m. during “Tis the Season. Turn to page two of today’s Tribune to see a map of all the fun things that are scheduled.
