There are signs that spring is here everywhere. Trees that bloom are blooming. There are a lot of green leaves starting to show on other trees. Dandelions have made their appearance once again. Tulips and daffodils have made their comeback.
One thing that always makes me know that it is finally spring is when I see Walsh’s Sweet Corn’s post that they have planted the first planting. And, I read that much-awaited post just a few days ago.
Walsh’s Sweet Corn is just a few miles east of downtown Tipton. During the season, they sell sweet corn, yellow, white and bi-colored. They also sell jams and jellies and other homemade goodies.
This year, the Walsh family recruited a new employee. His name is Easton and he is a big one-year-old. His parents are Spencer and Emily Walsh. He is already out there in the fields planting the seeds, kicking the tires and getting pep talks from his dad!
I can almost taste an ear of sweet corn straight out of the field, can you?
