The Auxiliary of IU Health Tipton Hospital was established in 1994. Its purpose is to render service to the IU Health Tipton Hospital and to assist the hospital in promoting the health and welfare of the community in accordance with the mission of the hospital. Membership in the Auxiliary is open to all interested persons. Various fundraising events are scheduled to bring in money to benefit patient care in the hospital. Proceeds from the fundraisers and the hospital Gift Shop go to the Hospital Wish List. This
Wish List provides such items as stuffed animals for the children in the pediatric surgery unit, items for adults and children in the waiting rooms, a warming blanket unit in the cancer unit, robes in the radiology unit and games and activities for swing bed patients. These are items not covered by the hospital budget.
All activities of the Auxiliary were stopped when the pandemic began. Thus, our members are wishing to restart the group. The hospital Gift Shop has remained one of the money-making events.
