Pedro Jaramillo Jr., age 55, of Elwood, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Mercy Hospital.

Pedro was born in Elwood on July 29, 1967, to the late Pedro and Rosa Jaramillo.

Pedro attended Elwood Community High School and graduated in 1987. He retired in 2007 from ELSA Corp. where he worked in their manufacturing division.

Pedro enjoyed working on cars, fishing with his grandson\, and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.

Pedro is survived by his two daughters, Cheayla (Jimi McPhearson) Jaramillo of Elwood and Brandalynn Jaramillo of Elwood; two sons, Austin (Alicia) Jaramillo of Elwood and Alonzo Jaramillo of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Mia Jaramillo, Thomas Hazelwood and Xailayna Hazelwood; brother, Augustine (Rosario) Jaramillo of Texas; four sisters, Maria (Donald) Massengale of Florida, Victoriana (Larry) Anderson of Elwood, Yolanda (Dave) Long of Elwood and Marisela (Brian) Tishner of Elwood; half-sister, Gloria Mejia of Florida; former spouse, Stacy Guy; and several nieces and nephews, Pedro was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Rosa Jaramillo and sister, Irma Guadalupe Minniear-Cruz.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood.

Amemorial service will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Nate Warren officiating.
