Charles Denham, former Tipton resident, died March 12, 2023, at St James City, Fla., surrounded by his wife and family.
Charlie was born on Feb. 8, 1937, in Brownsville, Ken., to Louis Jack and Irene (Johnson) Denham. Charlie came from a large family.
He is survived by his brothers, Leonard and Ray of Indiana and Ernie residing in Flordia and his sisters, Erlene of Indiana and Edna Mae residing in North Carolina.
Brothers, Harold (Cowboy) and Clyde proceed him in death.
The musical talents of his family were enjoyed by many across the state. Playing Bluegrass music, The Denhams entertained many friends, families and audiences with enthusiasm, love and joy.
Charlie worked at Steel Parts for many years. His talents lead him to a successful construction career building comercial grainbins and residential homes.
On May 5,1967, he married Rebecca (Becky) Barrickman in Tipton. In their 56 years of marriage they lovingly raised a large family of seven children, Raymond, Kirtis and Jody all reside in Flordia; Amy and Leisa reside in Indiana; and Kelly resides in South Carolina. A daughter, Laura Mae, proceeded Charles in death.
Charlie and Becky have many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and greatgreat- grandchildren. All of which brought him immense joy.
Charlie will for ever be know for his love of family. His Bluegrass music, fishing skills and his infectious laughter.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date.
