ELWOOD – Jacqueline M. Ray, 95, of Elwood, died at 5:41 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Bloom at Kokomo.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1927, in Tipton to Earnest and Geneva Cope (Werner) Molden.
On April 12, 1948, she married George Walter Ray and he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1997.
Jacqueline had worked at Delco Remy in Anderson, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of Eastern Star, Beta Sigma Phi, Landon Guild and the Eagles. She also belonged to the White Shrine of Jerusalem and enjoyed bowling and playing in several card clubs.
Survivors include one son, William Martin Ray and wife DeeAnn of Columbia City, Ind. and two granddaughters, Sarah Ray and Emily Ray.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Janice Marlene Schuck and one brother-inlaw, John Schuck.
Visitation for Jacqueline was on Tuesday, March 21, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton. A graveside service immediately followed at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton. Pastor Doug Slack will officiate the graveside service with burial to follow.
